Originally from the small county of Devon, England, Calais Goord is now making a name for herself as one of the youngest and most successful model managers in the United States. By Roxy De Guzman
Prior to representing some of the biggest names in fashion, Calais Goord spent her childhood growing up on the rural cliff sides and coastlines of Devon, England. She attended The Royal School of Ballet in London when she was nine years old, then went on to an Olympic athlete school called Plymouth College. This was only the beginning for Calais.
When she was 16, Calais moved to London to intern at Elite Models London, where she represented some of the biggest names in fashion, including Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima, and Matthew Noszka. About a year later, she became the youngest person ever to receive a promotion to become a model agent.
Shortly after, Calais moved to Los Angeles at the age of 22, where she became a Senior Model Manager for The Industry Models. Forever the overachiever, Calais continued to break records in her new position. After only a few months, she scouted and signed Yarelis Denise, who quickly secured an exclusive contract with Boohoo and became the highest billing model in the company.
In September 2021, Calais then moved to Miami to become the Head of the Men’s Board and a Senior Model Manager with Elite Miami. With this role, she has represented models like Nadia Ferriera, Meredith Mikelson, Nina Agdal, and Eden Fines. In addition, Calais Goord has gone on to work with huge brand clients including Tommy Hilfiger, Pretty Little Thing, Dolce & Gabbana, and Roger Dubuis.
