Emily in Paris season two spoilers are included in this post.
Fans of Emily in Paris, guess what?! The trailer for the much-anticipated third season has been published, and it looks fantastic. With the new season almost here (December 21, people), Netflix rewarded us for our patience by releasing a jam-packed new teaser that is little over two minutes long.
And (spoiler alert), after being forced to choose between leaving Paris for a job offer from her boss Madeline (Kate Walsh) and following her mentor Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) to a new company at the end of season two, Emily (Lily Collins) appears to be “pulling double duty” and juggling both in the third season. As if that wasn’t enough for our sweet heroine, her sizzling love triangle with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) is still going on. Who will she pick?
According to the teaser, Emily has to make a lot of choices, and we can see her telling her friend Mindy: “My whole life I’ve been realistic.” I made a romantic choice that bit me in the a**. “Is this about work or Gabriel?” Mindy inquires. “Paris!” Lily explained, laughing. It’s fantastic!
This comes after Lily dropped some season three teasers! On October 13, she told Entertainment Tonight that the upcoming season of the program, which has already been renewed for a fourth season, would have lots of love turmoil. “More love triangles, conflict, jokes, fashion, places, France!” she said, adding that fans should brace themselves for “a lot more cliffhangers.” Eek.
Lily has also previously revealed some sneak peeks and narrative hints for the second season of Emily in Paris. The actress published numerous photos from the new season on her Instagram account with the caption: “First look at @emilyinparis Saison Trois!! Prepare for fresh looks, new locales, and new love triangles… Merci France for being a home away from home and welcoming us once again. I’m so proud of this cast and crew, and I can’t wait to see what our daughter Emily gets up to! Prepare for another thrilling journey…”
The photos show Emily, who has a new fringed hairstyle, having the time of her life with her coworkers in Paris. “One year after relocating from Chicago to Paris for her dream career, Emily finds herself at a critical crossroads in every area of her life,” according to the show’s updated description. Emily will have to determine where her allegiance lay — at work and in her personal life — and what those choices imply for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the experiences and unexpected twists and turns that life in Paris brings.”
This news comes only a few months after it was revealed that Lucien Laviscount will reprise his role as Alfie, the British bad boy, in season three of Netflix’s Emily in Paris.
Darren Star, the show’s creator and executive producer, confirmed Lucien’s promotion to main cast member status for the show’s third and fourth seasons at the show’s Paley Fest panel on Sunday, April 10th (via Variety).
Lily revealed earlier this year that the program will return for a third and fourth season. “Woke up early to offer you some VERY happy news…,” the actress said in a personal Instagram post. @emilyinparis returns for Season 3… AND, be ready for Season 4!”
